Built in 1983 by Jeanneau, the hull of the Sun Shine 36 was designed by Tony Castro with a racing spirit. However, the interior layouts provide real living comfort on board for cruising. Since its purchase in December 2023, the owner has continuously renovated this boat named Nausicaä. As a professional sailor, he worked diligently and passionately on this renovation which cost him nearly €25,000 in materials and a year of work. His goal was to make it a high-performance, pleasant, and durable boat.

- Complete rewiring
- Lighting replaced
- Batterie bank upgrade and standardization
- Installation of a 200W solar panel and power regulator
- 220V circuit throughout the boat working at dock or via inverter

Ventilation
- Installation of a complete ventilation system with cooling fans
- Placement of intake and exhaust ducts in engine room

Insulation
- Hull interior fully stripped
- Cork spray on the walls (Soliège)
- Glued cork panels over

Portholes & Wood
- Installation of fixing battens on all walls
- Custom creation of varnished light wood panelling
- Installation of new panelling
- Sanding and re-varnishing the interior woods

Upholstery
- Cutting of new foams
- Custom waterproof fabric covers for saloon and linen for berths

Plumbing
- Changing the bilge pump
- Creating a water evacuation circuit for the shower
- Replacing electric pumps for seawater and freshwater

Kitchen
- Replacement of the gas stove and oven on cart
- Re-sealing of the fridge space
- Replacing the cold group with a new one (Vitrifrigo)

Deck
- Replacing almost all deck hardware
- Replacing some pulpit and stanchions
- Re-sealing the deck
- Replacing plexiglass, deck panels, and hatches
- Creating and installing a davit
- Adding an aft bathing platform

Electronics
- Installing an AIS transponder-receiver
- Installing a Raymarine plotter with Mediterranean-Atlantic cartography
- Replacing the autopilot with a new one

Motor
- Retightening the silent blocks
