The Arcadia is a Tony Castro design built by Jeanneau in the 1980s. This boat is one of the best sailboats of its generation. A multi-purpose sailboat that will appeal to both racers and families looking for a secure cruiser. Presentation and technical sheet of an excellent sailboat, star of the 80s.
The Arcadia, designed by Tony Castro, was built from 1983 to 1987. During this period, 300 units left the Jeanneau Vendée shipyard. This 8.50 sailboat is undoubtedly one of the best of its generation. It competed with the First 29, among others. Its fine hull and its solid monolithic fiberglass/polyester construction (deck in sandwich) make it a very good choice on the used boat market, regardless of its intended use.
Indeed, this Castro plan is highly performant and versatile. Capable of embarking on beautiful semi-oceanic cruises with family, or racing between three marks and showcasing its transom to many newer sailboats.
