This Amel 50 from 2020 is exceptionally well equipped for offshore cruising, featuring a complete Garmin navigation package — including a touchscreen chart plotter, a depth sounder, radar, and AIS — it also has an Iridium GO satellite communication system and a portable solar panel system wired directly into the upgraded lithium battery bank. The electrical system has been further optimized with an 800W inverter and a Master Volt monitoring system.

The rigging of the Amel 50 is designed for ease of handling, with a self-tacking jib on a manual Facnor furler, a manual genoa furler, a roller furling mainsail in the mast, and three upgraded electric winches with all the reefing lines leading to the cockpit area, meaning this vessel can be controlled from the safety of its central cockpit.
