GRAND BANKS 42 CLASSIC – 1992
Royal Nautisme offers this very beautiful Grand Banks 42 Classic from 1992, an emblematic model from American Marine and a true reference in the trawler world.
Known for its quality construction, excellent sea-keeping, and generous volumes, the Grand Banks 42 is particularly suitable for long-distance cruising as well as family use. This polyester-hulled example is in excellent overall condition and has been regularly and carefully maintained.
Kept out of the water for about five months a year, it has undergone numerous works over the years, particularly on the mechanical part. It also features many interesting equipment and modifications, including stainless steel grounding brackets, which are quite rare on this type of vessel.
Onboard, the Grand Banks 42 offers all the comfort expected of a true cruising boat: two cabins, seven berths, and two bathrooms, combined with a large fresh water capacity of 1,200 liters. The spacious saloon, equipped kitchen, and forced air heating allow for comfortable extended cruising and year-round use.
The propulsion consists of two 210 hp Caterpillar V8 diesels, totaling approximately 4,400 hours, with shaft line transmission. With 2,600 liters of fuel and a cruising speed of about 9 knots, this Grand Banks fully embodies the trawler philosophy: autonomy, comfort, and serenity at sea.
The navigation equipment is particularly comprehensive, including Furuno radar, Furuno GPS, Seiwa chartplotter, B&G depth sounder, double Robertson/B&G autopilot, Icom VHF, and Furuno Navtex.
The flybridge offers a second helm station and a privileged outdoor space for navigation and anchoring. The boat also features a teak deck, a bathing platform, a bimini, mooring bits, a Lofrans 1500 W electric windlass, and many cruising-specific accessories.
Its onboard autonomy is enhanced by a 6.5 kW Onan generator as well as a complete electrical system. A 3.20 m aluminum 3D Tender dinghy from 2019, equipped with a 2019 Mercury 20 hp engine, completes the inventory.
With a length of 13.18 m and a beam of 4.30 m, this Grand Banks 42 offers remarkable volumes and the characteristic charm of vessels designed to sail far and long.
A particularly complete Grand Banks 42 Classic, carefully maintained and ready for exciting adventures.
