This Baltic 60, designed by Rolph Vrolijk, was conceived to excel in Mediterranean racing conditions while providing its owner with the ideal comfort for long cruises. The ambition behind this 60-foot sailboat was to create a true dual-purpose boat, perfectly optimized for both competition and relaxation at sea.
Designed by the Judel/Vrolijk office, SUD was specifically developed to perform under the IMS rule, which was very widespread in the Mediterranean, while remaining competitive under the IRC rule, which has a broader audience. The design favors a relatively narrow hull with straight ends, maximizing the waterline length without resorting to the less aesthetically pleasing flat-sided shape common at the time under the IMS rule.
The boat is now ready to be docked and taken over by its new owner!
