I am selling my Bavaria 42, first hand, in 3 cabin version, with genoa on furling, and grand sail on adjustable rails...
This Bavaria 42 has only been owned by one family who has just decided (reluctantly) to sell it due to its age.
If you come to see it, you will find a number of things to do.
I leave it up to the buyer to plan these tasks after purchase, such as replacing a set of sails, replacing the sail drive seal, some minor cosmetic work here and there, but overall the boat deserves your full attention especially since the asking price is very attractive today.
The interior upholstery and the floors have always been protected and are in good condition.
The BAVARIA 42 is built according to the category of design A, “High Seas” (Module Aa).
This design category requires the sailboat to be suitable for long cruises with winds over 8 (Beaufort scale) and waves over 4 meters, allowing it to navigate largely under its own power.
It also means that the builder certifies the compliance of the construction and equipment with the directives, but stability, the freeboard, as well as buoyancy and draft, have been checked by an authorized inspection agency.
