"Bavaria 42 first owner, 3 cabins, mainsail on cars, Genoa on furling system. The BAVARIA 42 is built according to design category A, 'Offshore' (module Aa).
This design category requires the sailboat to be suitable for long voyages with winds above 8 (Beaufort scale) and waves over 4 meters, allowing it to sail largely on its own.
It also means the builder self-certifies compliance of construction and equipment with the guidelines, but stability and freeboard, as well as buoyancy and flotation, have been inspected by an approved control body.
This Bavaria 42 has had only one family who has just decided (reluctantly) to sell it due to age. If you come to see it, you will find a number of tasks for which the seller leaves the buyer free to schedule after purchase, such as: replacement of a set of sails, replacement of the Sail drive seal, some minor cosmetic work here and there, but overall the boat deserves your full attention especially as the listed price is very attractive today.
The interior upholstery and floors have always been protected and are therefore in good condition.
