"Bavaria 42 first hand, 3 cabins, main sail on cars, genoa on roller.
This Bavaria 42 has only known one family who has just decided (reluctantly) to sell it due to age.
If you come to see it, you will find a number of things to do that the seller leaves to the buyer's discretion to schedule after the purchase, such as: replacement of a set of sails, replacement of the sail drive seal, some minor cosmetic work here and there, but overall the boat deserves your full attention especially since the listed price is very attractive today.
The interior upholstery and floors have always been protected and are therefore in good condition."
The BAVARIA 42 is built according to design category A, "Offshore" (module Aa).
This design category requires that the sailboat be suitable for long cruises with winds exceeding 8 (Beaufort scale) and waves over 4 meters, allowing it to navigate mostly under its own power.
This also means that the manufacturer certifies the compliance of the construction and equipment with the directives, but that stability and freeboard, as well as buoyancy and flotation, have been checked by an accredited control body.
