This Bavaria 42 has only known one family who have just decided (reluctantly) to sell it due to age.
If you come to see it, you will find a number of things to do.
I leave it to the buyer's discretion to schedule these tasks after purchase, such as: replacing a set of sails, replacing the Sail drive seal, some minor cosmetic work here and there, but overall the boat deserves your full attention especially since the listed price is very attractive today.

The BAVARIA 42 is built in accordance with design category A, "Offshore" (module Aa).
This design category requires the sailboat to be suitable for long cruises with winds above 8 (Beaufort scale) and waves over 4 meters, allowing it to navigate largely on its own.
It also means that the builder certifies compliance of the construction and equipment with the guidelines, but stability and freeboard, as well as buoyancy and flotation, have been checked by an approved control body.
