Designed by Sam Manuard, the planing hull of the First 14 seeks the best compromise between stability and speed. The twin-derivative case allows solo sailing without the jib (centerboard retracted and Cat rig) or with two crew (centerboard extended and set of three sails). With its sail area varying from 8.5 to 21.5 m², the First 14 multiplies possibilities and adapts to all skill levels. Designed for the widest range of crew sizes and weights, the cockpit offers multiple seating heights: on longer tacks, comfort is guaranteed.
