The First 18 SE is operated by 1 to 3 people thanks to its equipment designed for easy sailing: large cockpit, furling jib, spinnaker sock, high boom, and no backstay, allowing for a gaff mainsail.
The retractable keel, removable rudders, and lightweight carbon mast make the First 18 SE very easy to transport and launch.
The First 18 SE is one of the safest sailboats in its category. It is unsinkable, the retractable keel protects the structure in case of keel impact, and the rudders provide absolute control regardless of conditions.
Despite its modest size, the cabin of the First 18 SE accommodates two adults in coastal camping mode. The double V-bunk is of good size, and removable storage bags allow you to store your personal belongings, while the large hatch under the cockpit is dedicated to technical equipment.
