This Bénéteau Oceanis 43 used boat has been much more than just a sailboat to us — it was our floating home for nearly 2 years. This is a Beneteau Oceanis 43, a model known for its onboard living comfort, excellent sailing performance, and generous volumes, both on deck and below. We have equipped our Oceanis 43 to be fully autonomous for
With 1000W solar panels and 600Ah lithium batteries, we were able to stay at anchor for weeks without ever needing to connect to shore power — powering fridges, electronics, lighting, and more, effortlessly. Whether working remotely or simply enjoying life at anchor, the energy independence is assured.
The engine is in excellent condition — only 1800 hours, with rigorous maintenance performed according to the manufacturer’s schedule. This year, we inspected the standing rigging and replaced key components to ensure safety and reliability during offshore crossings. The sails and running rigging, however, are nearing the end of their lifespan and will need replacing before undertaking new major voyages — this has already been factored into the asking price.
The Beneteau Oceanis 43 was designed by Berret-Racoupeau and its interior by Nauta Design. It was first built in 2006 by Beneteau in France. This model marked a new era in the history of offshore cruising yachts thanks to its design, comfort, and performance. It was produced until 2014 and enjoyed great success, notably for its use in charter under the name Moorings 43.4. The Oceanis 43 is ideal for family or friends cruising, offering spaciousness and exceptional comfort.
The Beneteau Oceanis 43 is attractive for several reasons. Firstly, it offers an exceptional comfort thanks to its three double cabins and two heads, making it perfect for long family or friend cruises. Additionally, its autonomous energy system with 1000W solar panels and 600Ah lithium batteries allows staying at anchor for weeks without shore power. Finally, its Yanmar engine in excellent condition with only 1800 hours and rigorous maintenance ensure top reliability and safety during offshore crossings.
With mixed feelings, we part with our Oceanis 43 — it was both our home, our adventure, and our freedom. Now it’s time for us to turn the page, and we hope it will continue its journey with new owners ready to write their own story aboard.
