ANALIA was built in the 1920s by the prestigious British shipyard BERTHON BOAT COMPANY according to the design and specifications of the Scottish ALFRED MYLNE (1872–1951). Berthon Boat Company is one of the oldest shipyards still in operation, and since its founding over 200 years ago, it has belonged to the same family of sailing enthusiasts, the Mays.
Launched in England (Lymington) in 1925 under the original name MAIRIE, it received the Maltese Cross from LLOYD'S REGISTER—one of the most esteemed awards within this authority—thanks to the quality and high standards of its design, materials, and construction process.
In 2010, it was acquired by the current owner, who moored it again at the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona. Meanwhile, the boat underwent a new and meticulous restoration carried out in several stages under the technical direction of the prestigious naval office BARRACUDA YATCH DESIGN. During this process, a teak deck identical to the original was built, serving as the base while retaining all original elements and characteristics but preserving the Marconi rigging.
The structure, hull, and deck of ANALIA are entirely made of teak wood, while the furniture and interior marquetry elements are crafted from mahogany and teak, with chests made of iroko wood.
