The Clipper 42 sailboat is a cruising monohull built by the Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong. This fixed keel sailboat, rigged as a Ketch with a staysail, was designed by naval architect A. E. Luders with a maximum draft of 1.75 m. Production began in 1974. 50 units of the boat were produced.
Overall condition:
This unit is in very good presentational condition, the hull requires polishing but aside from this, everything is carefully maintained and ready to sail.
Interior:
The linings are in excellent condition, as are the woodwork and upholstery. The floors show some minor defects. The bilge areas are clean.
Exterior:
Except for the hull which requires polishing, we have not observed any gelcoat chips on either the hull or the deck, nor any delamination on the deck.
The teak appears original but remains in very good condition and does not require any work at first glance.
Mechanical:
Engine replaced in 2021 with a new 50hp Nanni diesel, still under warranty for 3 years. It replaced a Perkins 4.108.
Documentation:
Registration certificate
User manuals for the boat, propeller and others, ship construction plans
