The Clipper 42 sailing yacht is a cruising monohull, built by Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong. This fixed-keel vessel, rigged as a ketch with staysail, was designed by naval architect A. E. Luders with a maximum draft of 1.75 m. Production began in 1974. A total of 50 units were built.
General condition:
This unit is in very good condition, the hull requires polishing but apart from that, everything is well maintained and ready to sail.
Interior:
The linings are in excellent condition, as are the woodwork and upholstery. The floors show minor flaws. The bilge areas are clean.
Exterior:
Apart from the hull which requires polishing, we did not observe any gelcoat cracks on the hull or the deck, nor delamination on the deck.
The teak appears to be original but remains in very good condition and shows no signs of needed work at first glance.
Mechanics:
The engine was replaced in 2021 with a new Nanni 50hp diesel, still under warranty for 3 years. It replaced a Perkins 4.108.
