Derived from an amateur handcrafted construction carefully built in Marseille in 1985, Khaya is a cruising-regatta sailboat with a molded epoxy wooden hull that demonstrates solid construction and provides good seaworthiness. Equipped with a slim, deep keel combined with a separate rudder, it offers precise and enjoyable steering. Its low, sleek lines give it an elegant silhouette, reflecting the charm of its era.
Inside, the space remains simple yet warm, with exposed woodwork recalling the authenticity of traditional sailboats. The cockpit, intimate, allows the skipper to be close to the sensations and marine environment.
Its name, Khaya, meaning "mahogany," reflects the spirit of the boat: a boldly characterized sailboat, rich in history, aimed at enthusiasts wishing to acquire an authentic vessel and continue its evolution through new navigation projects.
