The Dehler 38 CWS is a cruiser-racer yacht, designed by naval architect Van de Stadt and built by the German shipyard Dehler, starting from 1987.

The acronym CWS stands for Central Winch System, an ingenious centralized winch system that allows sail handling from a central point, greatly facilitating sailing solo or with a small crew.

The sailing boat has 3 cabins and can accommodate up to 8 people thanks to well-arranged berths.

• Salon (saloon): V-shaped table with leaves, removable, seating up to 10 people. The benches convert into berths. Insulated from the engine area, practical access.


• L-shaped galley: Double sink with hot/cold water, electric refrigerator, 3-burner stove with oven (added in 2020), practical storage space.


• Heads and bathrooms: 2 bathrooms with toilets, one in each aft quarter, one including a shower. Fold-down sinks, storage, wardrobe, etc.


• ** Headroom under beams**: ≈ 1.90 m, comfortable for most sailors.
