The owner tells us:
I am selling my DUFOUR 40 PERFORMANCE purchased in 2021, which I sailed in the Mediterranean before preparing it for an Atlantic crossing in 2024 (Arc Antillais). Back in France, it is currently stored ashore and ready to go after minor cosmetic and electrical work (mast fire cable and anchoring lights to be done).
It is a 2-cabin deep draft version with an enlarged front cabin bed, a large shower separated from the WC, and a WEEBASTO forced air heating system.
Its standing rigging was replaced in 2018, and its DCX sails date from 2021.
It is energy autonomous (4 x 400W solar panels with VICTRON ENERGY MPPT regulator) and equipped with 3 new 110 Ah service batteries (2024) and a 90 Ah engine battery.
My DUFOUR 40 PERFORMANCE is prepared for long-distance cruising with a complete onboard electronics package (RAYMARINE navigation center, marinized PC with remote screen on pivoting arm and OPEN CPN, EPIRB beacon 2024, AIS Black Box transceiver/emitter 800S/N, FURUNO NX300 NAVTEX, TRANSOCEAN 6-person survival raft 2023, 100m main anchor rode...).

The Dufour 40, launched in the early 2000s, embodies the blend of performance and comfort, as claimed by the La Rochelle shipyard. The first of the new Dufour range, it quickly attracted sailors and racers, winning the “Boat of the Year 2003” award. Designed by the Franco-Italian duo Umberto Felci (keel) and Patrick Roséo (deck and interior), this nearly 12-meter monohull appeals to both cruising enthusiasts and racing enthusiasts.
