DUFOUR 41 CLASSIC "GARFIELD" — 1996 — CONTINUOUS MAINTENANCE HISTORY

CAP MED BOAT & YACHT CONSULTING presents this Dufour 41 Classic from 1996, named "GARFIELD". With its 11.89 meters length overall, 3.97 meters beam, and 1.89-meter draft, this cruiser by Dufour Yachts offers one of the best volume-habitat ratios of its generation: three cabins, eight sleeping berths, and two bathrooms with toilets, a rare configuration for this size.

What sets this unit apart is the continuity of its maintenance. Structural components have been maintained over the years: standing rigging and roller reefing replaced in 2015, upholstery, headliners, cabin carpets, Jabsco toilets, pumps, piping, and valve fittings renovated in 2017, three deck panels replaced in 2018. Part of the interior varnish has also been redone. The boat has been modernized recently: service and engine batteries replaced in July 2026, anchor chain replaced at the same time, portable VHF replaced with a new Icom IC-M37E, and a stainless steel gas barbecue installed.

The engine is a Yanmar 3JH2-TCE on saildrive SD31 with a three-blade propeller, showing approximately 2,800 hours on the latest logbook. The mechanical maintenance is documented and regular: oil changes, filters, turbine, belt, cooling hoses, and exhaust elbow replaced, with a new water pump in 2026.

The wardrobe is particularly complete for cruising: roller-furled genoa, semi-latticed mainsail in good condition, gennaker with furling sock, symmetric spinnaker, roller-furling staysail, storm jib, whisker pole, boom vang, and outrigger, all with lazy bag. Two spare sails, genoa, and mainsail, are included, although nearing the end of their lifespan but still useful for backup.

The autonomy has been enhanced: two 180 W solar panels (360 W total) with Victron SmartSolar MPPT 30 A regulator, a set of four 110 Ah service batteries, and an independent engine battery. Onboard, there is a two-burner gas stove, refrigerator with cooling group, pressurized water system, and 410 liters of fresh water distributed across two tanks, suitable for long-range cruising.

The anchoring is managed with an electric Cayman windlass with remote control and 65 meters of 10 mm chain. The electronics include a Raymarine ST4000/ST6000 autopilot, a Geonav Gypsy GPS, boat speed indicator, depth sounder, compass, anemometer, and a fixed RT55 VHF with AIS.

The safety equipment is comprehensive for offshore navigation: survival raft for 8 persons, eight life jackets, eight harnesses with lanyards, jacklines, life ring with distress light, distress flares, three fire extinguishers, and a backup tiller.

A reliable family cruising sailboat, continuously maintained over the years and ready to sail again. Contact CAP MED Boat & Yacht Consulting for a detailed inventory and to arrange a visit.
