Dufour 44 from 2006:
With a Volvo Penta D2 55 HP and only 750 engine hours,
This is a "Cruising Racer" sailboat that can be sailed solo, it sails very well both upwind and downwind (aside from X Yachts and J, not many go faster), it is highly maneuverable, with a very sensitive helm.
The keel is lead, unlike conventional cruising yachts, and the keel-stepped mast makes it very stiff under sail and very responsive.
It is a very seagoing boat, very safe in rough weather,
It is equipped with necessary reinforcements and attachments for a removable backstay.
The rigging was renewed in June 2021, two years ago:
- The Genoa furler replaced with a new one: FACNOR LS200, identical to the original.
- The backstay and 2 shrouds replaced
- The LAZY BAG and the "Cristal" of the hood 2023 are new!
- The hood and the Bimini were replaced in October 2017
- The mainsail halyard was replaced in May 2016
- The Sail Drive seal has not been replaced, it was checked by the shipyard who concluded that it did not need to be changed
- The engine maintenance was done by a professional mechanic (oil changes / oil filter / replacement of the impeller),
- The boat is equipped with a foldable 3-blade J PROP propeller.
- The genoa is not very old, replaced about 4 years ago, it is a genoa from DELTA VOILES, the mainsail is a very sturdy sail with 2 reefs from ETTORE YACHTING, it could benefit from being machine washed, but it is in good condition and very performant.
- Only one owner of the boat, bought new and delivered on May 17, 2007.
