FOUNTAINE PAJOT LUCIA 40 - A FULLY EQUIPPED HIGH-SEAS GRAND TRAVEL CATAMARAN, READY TO SAIL !
!! Currently in Guatemala and in Martinique at the beginning of 2027 !!
Superb 2017 Lucia 40, presented in remarkable condition and benefiting from a particularly comprehensive refit carried out in 2025. This catamaran has been carefully prepared by its second and current owner, an experienced navigator who has already completed a circumnavigation on two other catamarans. He chose the Lucia 40 for its excellent balance between comfort at sea, performance, easy handling, and a reasonable operating budget.
Designed and equipped for long-distance cruising, this boat features a package of technical upgrades and recent equipment, representing nearly 100,000 EUR in invoices as support in 2025. Modern navigation electronics, high electrical production capacity, a lithium battery bank, high-performance sails, and comfort equipment allow you to consider new long-range sailing projects with complete peace of mind.
Originally, it was the Quatuor 4-cabin / 4-bathroom version, which was transformed into a 3-cabin layout with a workshop cabin that can be reconverted into a fourth cabin (forward starboard cabin) and three shower rooms, including one private for the owner cabin (in the port hull, the two shower rooms are original; in the starboard hull, the two shower rooms have been turned into an independent WC and a large shower cabin). This Lucia 40 offers remarkable volumes for its size. Its versatile layout will suit both a long-distance couple cruising program and family sailing.
Among its main assets:
– A set of high-quality sails: a mainsail and genoa in DCX (carbone laminated membrane) anthracite grey, in radial cut, as well as a 120 m2 Parasailor, for great sailing performance, all in perfect condition from 2025;
– A fully renewed standing rig, with Dyneema halyards and sheets, from 2025;
– A 1,110 W solar installation, combined with four 100 Ah Victron lithium batteries and optimized energy management, from 2025;
– Complete and recent Garmin electronics: GPSMap 723 and 923, radar, AIS, autopilot, and a navigation tablet with Navionics, from 2025;
– A fixed Starlink antenna (large model), allowing internet connection even while sailing, from 2025;
– An Aquabase 105 liters/hour watermaker, particularly appreciated for long-range cruising autonomy, from 2025;
– A Quick windlass with remote control at the helm, a 90-meter anchor chain, and a 29 kg Rocna anchor, from 2025;
– A fully renewed outdoor upholstery package, modernized comfort equipment, and numerous protective covers, from 2025;
– Two Jabsco Quiet Flush electric toilets, a washing machine, a three-burner cooktop, and a multifunction oven;
– A 3D aluminium Tender 3.20 m, 2025, with a 15 HP Yamaha outboard engine.
Twin-engine power is provided by two Volvo Penta D1-30F 30 HP engines. The starboard engine, replaced in 2023, totals 1,400 hours, and 2,900 hours for the original port engine. The boat has 520 liters of fresh water and a 350-liter fuel tank.
With its particularly comprehensive equipment, high-performance sails, an energy setup tailored for life onboard, and its level of preparation, this catamaran represents a fantastic opportunity for sailors who want to acquire a travel catamaran without having to undertake major equipment works immediately.
A versatile Lucia 40, carefully prepared and ready to support new offshore navigation, life onboard, and long-distance cruising plans.
