A family, sporty, and affordable boat to fully enjoy the summer
The Four Winns Horizon range includes ten open bow models covering a fairly wide market segment, ranging from 18 to 44 feet. The H190 is a classic sporty small bowrider that, at 19 feet long, is an entry-level model. Sold as a package including boat, engine, and trailer, it provides an accessible, efficient, easy-to-tow, and affordable way to discover the pleasures of family boating.
True to Four Winns tradition, the H190 is built on a hull featuring the renowned patented Stable-Vee design. To ensure strength and durability, the H190's Stable-Vee hull is equipped with a stringer system and a cockpit floor fully made of fiberglass. Like other Four Winns models, this boat comes on a trailer manufactured by the company, featuring an articulated tongue that facilitates storage.
The H190 can be powered by a MerCruiser or Volvo V6 engine up to a maximum power of 250 horsepower. Our test boat was equipped with a 200-horsepower Volvo V6. Pushing the throttle, it responded eagerly and got the hull on plane in less than three seconds. Keeping the throttle wide open, the small Four Winns effortlessly continued to a top speed of 46 mph. The Stable-Vee hull design includes a slightly protruding section at the transom acting somewhat like a flap to aid planing and improve high-speed stability.
The H190’s handling and behavior give it a decidedly sporty character, making it both enjoyable and even fun to drive. We spent a long time on the water varying speed and turning radius, and the hull proved smooth, precise, and comfortable. The 200 horsepower engine did the job very well, but it seemed clear that this hull could easily handle an additional 50 horsepower if you decide to go for maximum power. However, the 200-horsepower engine is more than sufficient for cruising and occasional water sports.
