Hard to find a more iconic name in cruising trawlers than Grand Banks. Built in Singapore by American Marine, Black Star embodies this historic craftsmanship: sturdy polyester hull, two engines, two helm stations, and exotic wood interior that elegantly endures through the decades.

A true cruising boat
Originally equipped with 2 Ford Lehmann Super 135 hp engines (current 4,600 hours, up to 20,000 hours potential) and a Cummins Onan 6.5 kVA generator, Black Star cruises at 7 knots with an average consumption of 14 L/h with both engines — providing a range of 1,250 nautical miles (2,250 km). Perfect for reaching Corsica, the Balearics, or sailing down the coast without a worry.

- Fully renewed battery bank (engines 2024, generator 2025, servitude 2023), 2 Valeo 70A alternators, Mastervolt charger, 2 solar panels, Navylec + CTEK monitoring
- Lofran Tigre windlass (2020), 10 mm chain 50 m marked with colors, 24 kg anchor — holding up to 40 knots on sandy bottom
- Opacmare hydraulic passerelle
- 3 m 3D Tender dinghy (5 seats) with Parsun 9.8 hp engine (2017), stowed on the sun-deck, launched via electric winch

Two helm stations
One traditional interior helm station in the style of a trawler and an exterior station on the sun-deck, for steering in the sun or in shelter depending on the weather — characteristic versatility of Grand Banks.

Living onboard
U-shaped full galley (induction hob, multifunction oven, fridge, ample storage), three dining areas — indoor table seats up to 6, aft deck, and sun-deck — to enjoy every moment of the day. Two double cabins, a convertible settee in the salon, bathroom with electric WC, sink, and shower. Original woodwork in excellent condition, warm and timeless ambiance.

Port of registry
Can stay all year in Port Grimaud (83), a perfectly sheltered port regardless of weather — an ideal starting point for Corsica and the many secluded anchorages of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Optionally, the berth may be available for transfer with the harbor master.
