The interior appears to need no work at first glance. The linings are in fairly good condition, the upholstery is like new, recently redone.
The boat is ready to sail, however some of the running rigging and a more substantial anchoring system will need to be planned.
The history of the Jeanneau Sun Fizz
The Sun Fizz sailboat is a cruising monohull, built by the Jeanneau shipyard in France. This fixed keel sailboat, rigged as a masthead sloop, designed by naval architect Philippe Briand, measures 11.75 m in length with a maximum draft of 1.95 m. Production started in 1980 and ended in 1986. 651 units were produced.
Overall condition:
This unit is in very good presentation condition, the owners have had it for over 20 years and have maintained it well.
Interior:
The woodwork and upholstery are in good condition. The floors show almost no defects. The bilges are clean.
Exterior:
Except for the hull which requires polishing, we only observed a few superficial gelcoat chips on both the hull and deck, no delamination on the deck.
Mechanical:
Maintenance is up to date, the Perkins 4.108 is still a very common engine which allows easy sourcing of parts.
