TRIMARAN TRILOGY 50
Construction with Strongall Aluminum MEAT.
Architect: JP Brouns.
A serious offer would be welcome.
Stella Maris is a Trilogy 50 type trimaran, designed by naval architect Jean-Pierre Brouns and built to order by the META shipyard in Strongall aluminum. It was delivered in 2008 to its clients, the Lamblin couple, who keep it ashore for interior outfitting.
Launched in 2011, it initially berthed in Port Saint-Louis du Rhône for several years onshore. Relaunched in 2017, during its cruises it moved to Portimo, Portugal, where it was drydocked in 2018. Its owner, Mr. Lamblin, continued working on the boat’s outfitting until illness prevented him, leading to the project’s termination.
The boat was acquired in August 2025 by its current owner with a clear goal: to restore its seaworthiness, tow it to La Rochelle, and convert it to hybrid electric propulsion for a long voyage. Its nearly 30 m² large roof, transmissions suitable for simplified integration of electric motors, and large space for batteries made it an ideal candidate for this project.
For a tow to France, significant work was undertaken between 2025 and 2026: comprehensive overhaul of the electrical system, engines, transmissions, navigation electronics, and complete hull sanding.
The boat was launched on February 18, 2026, and sea trials took place on February 19, 20, and 21, 2026. All mechanical and electronic systems proved functional after covering 110 nautical miles.
Financial constraints and availability have led the current owner to sell the boat before the completion of the towing project.
