To meet the intervention and firefighting needs for marinas and ports, we developed the WT 610 P in 2022.
Presented at specialized trade shows and tested by several SDIS and private services, the unit we offer you is now 1 year old with approximately 10 hours of engine use. It is now time for it to enter active service. It should be noted that the discounted price of this offer reflects its status as a demonstration vessel and its vintage and cannot in any case be applied to the sale of a new boat.
By choosing the WT610 model from our MSBOAT shipyard, we aimed to develop the most compact boat possible while maintaining the capabilities of the fire pumps currently used in these types of missions; namely 800 liters/min at a minimum of 8 bars.
To date, only Tohatsu offers a compact model providing a flow rate of 1500 L/min at 10 bars or 1800 L/min at 8 bars, notably with a bronze pump body allowing use with salt water. It should be noted that the pump needs to be rinsed after use, and for this purpose, we supply a kit to connect to a fire hydrant. This pump is removable and portable with its retractable handles and weighs only 127kg.
Featuring its own gasoline tank, it has an operational autonomy of one hour at full power.
Mounted in front of the cabin, it draws seawater via an internal T-shaped water intake, suctioning on both port and starboard sides of the hull, thus limiting possible obstruction on a single intake.
It supplies 2 outlets with a diameter of 80mm. Obviously aiming to also tackle hydrocarbon fires, we positioned a 400-liter foam tank in front of the cabin and a Venturi-effect mixer adjustable from 1 to 5% installed under the deck to inject the foam agent into the water.
We recommend the Biofor N** foam agent, which is environmentally safe and fully biodegradable. A motorized stainless steel monitor nozzle is positioned on the forward port gunwale and is controlled from the cabin via a joystick as well as a wireless remote control with a range of 50 meters. This monitor is fed with the foam agent.
A second manual monitor nozzle is positioned on the forward starboard gunwale. It is fed with water directly from the pump.
With an initial load capacity of 1200kg, the MSBOAT 610 can maintain an available payload capacity of 880 kg despite the weight of all these components. Moreover, with a width of 2.4 meters and an overall length of 6.5 meters, it remains very maneuverable inside a port.
A pilothouse is located at the rear of the deck; it provides good protection for the crew and, with a sit-stand bench, securely accommodates the driver and the operator in charge of the pump and monitor nozzle operation. It is equipped with an engine control console, necessary gauges and meters, a bilge water alarm, a fuel vapor alarm in the bilge, an emergency fuel supply shut-off pull, the control for the powerful searchlight, the motorized monitor control, a combined depth sounder/GPS, a combined siren, gyro, and public address system completing the onboard electronic equipment.
Several floodlights provide good illumination of the deck and the surrounding area of the boat. The electrically operated forward door allows easy launching and recovery of a floating stretcher. Side doors with 1.2-meter openings are equipped with rigid ladders that deploy automatically into the water when the doors open, allowing persons in the water to climb aboard without assistance. It should be noted that the manual lance can be aimed upwards, protecting the boat under a water dome. This boat is entirely built in marine-grade aluminum 5083.
This boat is available upon the closing of the National Firefighters Congress, namely on October 9th. If necessary, it can then be registered under Division 222, surveillance, assistance, and rescue boat, in the 5th category (certification cost extra).
Note that to pilot a D222 boat in this category, it is no longer necessary to hold the Captain200 certificate; the new BACPN certificate (Certificate of Competence to Operate Small Vessels) suffices, which can be easily obtained in a few days of training for someone already holding a coastal permit.
