The Nautitech 46 Open series was launched in 2016 and takes up the Open concept initiated by the builder two years earlier on the 40. The forward cockpit partition, very advanced, offers a huge outdoor space, well protected by the large rigid bimini and its sunshade. The builder favored a tropical living space, even if the size of the 46 makes the space still very spacious and bright. Marc Lombard once again designed a hull that allows for good performance, and the very reasonable displacement makes it an excellent boat in light winds. And this boat knows how to sail upwind, with leeway traces at 90° from one tack to the other, which is rare on a catamaran without fragile keels. As for the dual steering wheels at the stern, they allow the skipper to stay in contact with the crew without sacrificing the pleasure of steering the boat.
This unit was launched at the end of 2016 and was delivered in Martinique in the last weeks of the year. It has always been maintained by professionals. The boat is registered in Fort de France, and the landing tax and VAT have been paid.
It is now well equipped for cruising in the Caribbean, where it regularly sails.
