The Nautitech 46 Open series was launched in 2016 and revives the Open concept initiated by the builder two years earlier on the 40. The very advanced cockpit partition offers a huge outdoor space, well protected by the large rigid bimini and its shade sails. The manufacturer therefore favored a living space under the tropics, although the size of the 46 makes the space still very spacious and bright. Marc Lombard once again designed a hull that allows for good performance, and its very reasonable displacement makes it an excellent boat in light winds. And this boat can sail upwind, with close-hauled traces at 90° from one tack to the other, which is rare on a cat without fragile keels. The twin steering wheels at the rear allow the skipper to stay in touch with the crew without sacrificing the pleasure of steering the boat.
This unit was launched in late 2016 and delivered in Martinique in the last weeks of the year. It has always been maintained by professionals. The boat is registered in Fort de France, and customs duty and VAT have been paid. It is now well equipped to sail in the Caribbean, where it regularly navigates.
