Built in 1931 at the Vve Broutin shipyard in Vitry-le-Francois, the Neptune is an old river tugboat transformed for recreational use. It retains the character and robustness of traditional workboats. With its charm, sound hull, and generous volume, it will appeal equally to heritage enthusiasts and those seeking a living aboard project on the rivers and canals of France and Europe.

Engine: Deutz SAGL 514 – 75 HP, known for its durability and mechanical simplicity. Complete overhaul in June 2026 (drain oil, filters, valve clearance, mechanical check, and injection pump review).

The boat is sold with extensive documentation: 1931 tonnage certificate, owner history, administrative documents, sounding plans (2013 and 2021), expert reports (1995 and 2021), and technical documents for the hydraulic steering system, propeller, Deutz engine, and Reintjes gearbox.

Layout: kitchen, wheelhouse, lounge convertible into double berth, engine room with workshop, storage, WC, shower, and double cabin. The shower room and cabin can be modernized according to the new owner’s preferences.

Equipment: hydraulic steering, emergency tiller, 2 anchors, manual windlass, 24V engine batteries with Victron charger, 12V service batteries, fixed VHF, electric and manual bilge pumps, stove, 220V refrigerator.

The boat is operational, viewable by appointment, and can be seen at the port of Roches de Condrieu (France, near Lyon).
