Description

DESCRIPTION: Built very close to Salzburg (Austria), in Schöchl Yachtbau shipyard, the Sunbeam 53. The construction of the yacht started at end of 2005, and it was delivered in March of 2007. A true ocean-going sailboat capable of tackling the most demanding challenges with maximum comfort. It features a sleek and elegant central cockpit with top-quality finishes and joinery.

Everything on board is designed and built for maximum safety and ease of handling. Therefore, while up to seven people can embark on a very long voyage across the world's oceans, all onboard maneuvers can be performed with just two people.

Designed by Georg Nissen and built by Sunbeam Austria, this center cockpit cruising yacht has a lot to offer; good sail performance and sea-keeping, comfort, safety, and build quality. With her length of almost 16 meters, the interior space is more than enough for longer comfortable stays on board. Very well equipped (bow thruster, electric winches, heating, etc.) and very easy to handle sails and rigging layout with electric winches.

Its 18 tons of displacement will allow it to reach around 9 knots under its 110 hp engine, with a fairly comfortable noise level inside. Under sail, the 133 m² of sail area propels the nearly 16-meter hull with ease and determination, offering excellent agility in turning and maneuvering at all times.
