Tofinou 8
The Tofinou 8 is a classic sailboat with a modern lines designed by the architectural firm Joubert / Nivelt and built in the traditional craftsmanship of the yard.
This dayboat is suited for light winds as well as breezes: the Tofinou 8 is responsive at the helm, offering sensations similar to a sport dinghy, easy to maneuver with a reduced crew or when sailing solo. The hull of the Tofinou 8, characterized by its straight bow and very flat rake lines at the stern, proves to be very stable and excellent at all points of sail.
In its "fixed keel" version, the Tofinou 8 has a draft of 1.70 meters. In its "lifting keel" version, its draft can vary from 1.90 meters to less than 88 cm, allowing access to shallow beaches or inlets during sea outings, entering a port at low tide, or even dry sailing.
