Here is a sturdy and heavy long-range sailing yacht. Sciomachen, its architect, aimed to build a vessel capable of handling bad weather, intended for real sailors (in his opinion, a 25 hp engine was more than enough). It features four cabins; some models have a sheltered helm station with a double steering wheel like this one. It is a very heavy boat (16 tons), not well suited for light conditions, but it allows comfortable sailing at 30 or 40 knots of wind without reducing sail.
