The Wauquiez CENTURION 47 is a model designed by Ed Dubois and built by the Wauquiez shipyard. This sailboat is known for its performance, robustness, and elegance. It is suitable for offshore sailing, particularly upwind.
Preparation and Improvements
The sailboat underwent a complete overhaul and major improvements between 2019 and 2024:
Recent work: teak decking replacement, porthole changes, standing rigging refurbishment, and complete engine revision.
Modern equipment: new Fisher Panda generator (2024) and upgrade of NKE electronics.
Interior Layout
The sailboat has three cabins: an aft owner’s cabin, a forward double cabin, and a crew cabin. It also includes a saloon, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bathrooms.
Equipment and Performance
The sailboat is equipped with a serviced Lombardini engine of 60 HP, a complete sail set (mainsail and genoa from 2017, storm jib, and spinnaker serviced), and modern navigation instruments (NKE central unit, AIS, autopilot).
History
Formerly owned by artist Philippe Laville, this sailboat has sailed from the French coasts to the lagoons of New Caledonia, passing through New Zealand and Tahiti.
