After the great success of the Solaris 47, 48 and 50, it was necessary to consider possible improvements. Solaris Yachts and Javier Soto Acebal concluded that the beam needed to be increased and moved aft in order to equip the new 50’ with two rudders. Steering in the breeze thus becomes child's play.
This new aft volume is also used to create a watertight tender garage, usable longitudinally, which is rare on a unit of this size.
The position of the steering stations has also been optimized: by being moved aft and spaced apart, the helmsman has a better field of vision despite the possible obstruction of the roof canopy.
It was important to pamper the skilled helmsmen on a racer with such a good weight-to-power ratio! Especially since with a Weldox keel and a carbon mast, there is plenty of potential for high performance…
The vacuum-infused sandwich construction, the structural bulkheads laminated as a monobloc to the hull and deck, and the ultra-rigorous keel attachment method will once again contribute to the rigidity and flawless strength at the best weight, which is the unwavering reputation of Solaris Yachts.
Special attention is given to the finishing details of the interiors, especially in the saloon and the owner's cabin, which comes in two versions. At the rear, we can offer a variant to adapt to different family formats.
